About and skills

Claire Pégorier started her career by writing a standalone for cloth animation, to dress characters in motion before any commercials package existed. Olivier Lévy gave her a legendary Silicon Graphics workstation which was for her the opportunity to process her first video "Fanstossme". Very interested by human expressions and motion, she worked on facial animation at Kalumet, and on skinning for a challenging N.N. Corsino dance video "Captives", helped by Bernard Camenoff technical suggestions.
She spent sometimes in Canada and worked on the 3rd HDTV film about nano particile swarms "Habitat", than moved to London, and started the 3D cloth department of the Moving Picture Company. She dressed up the Oompa Lumpas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, all the Elves in Fred Claus, animated Volomort Cape, and many other digi doubles clothes.
She than moved to effects where she worked on volumetric effects, fluid simulations like explosions, rigid bodies, destruction, fog, at Cinesite, where she proposed a way to parallelize hi res pyro process while working on projects like Battle of LA, Xmen first Class, Clash of the Titans, Snow White and the Hunter which was a nice project as it was a mix of particles and clothes technics.

A bit exhausted of being most of the time the only woman in the FX team, and a bit worrying about her family, she started her own company "Remote FX", and she delivers effects for films, commercials and broadcast, either remotely, either on site in London....
She participated to many different projects and commercials working onsite or remotely: Chi Ice Tea, Johnny Appleseed, Hoy Hoy, Bubble Witch, Hard Powder, White Fang, Rusty Knight, Outlander, Cold Pursuit, Archive, Kia, Naked, National Geographic, Zog, Pot Noodle ....
As the work slowed down in VFX due to IA introduction and the recent writers strike, she starts to explore a new pathway: she is sharing her broad 3D and computers knowledge with students at Hertsforshire and West London Universities. As she has more time to work on personal projects and videos exploring different technics in CG, she is now opening her own boutique to sell still frames and quicktime videos.
Any 3D realisation is usually the result of long hours of intense work. As she enjoys the healing effects of expressing feelings and fears, she is also exploring more and more classical technics like pencils, and brushes.
